As usual, it seems it has been a while since I last posted. I guess life gets in the way, eh? Here are a few recent kid stories that made us laugh.
I took Sofia to work with me one day a couple weeks ago, and I tried to offer her healthy snacks (in the morning anyway). But she had her heart set on the Cheez-Its she discovered (courtesy of Dad), and she insisted, "Mom, I think better when I'm eating Cheez-Its." That sent me into fits of laughter.
We were on our way out of the house the other night when Gabe quipped in a deliberately slow fashion, "Hey Dad, what's the rush?" Tim started laughing, and I joined him when I realized Gabe was reading the back of Tim's shirt, an old Jameson whiskey shirt my sister Jordan gave him.
And anytime we don't know the answer to something, Gabe will pipe up with, "Well, let's just ask Google."
Sofia has been going through a growth spurt lately. She'll eat 3 breakfasts, no kidding -- including mine. She'll come downstairs and first thing swing that refrigerator door wide open and say, "Yummm, salami" and eat several slices of salami for breakfast. I nearly turn green looking at what she'll eat for breakfast. This morning Sofia came downstairs, swung open the refrigerator door and looked at me with total sincerity when she asked, "Mom, could a person marry a fridge?"
Seriously -- kids are too much.
