So the other day we were on our way somewhere in the car, and I was singing to the radio when Gabe asked, "Mom, if you like singing so much, how come you aren't a singer?" haha! Don't you love the way kids think you can do anything you want to do? I just said, "You know I never thought about singing as a job, but you could do that if you want to."
I think he's getting to the age where he is learning social cues because at one point in Toy Story 3, he leaned over and said, "Mom, try not to laugh so loud." Oh man! I'm embarrassing him already! LOL! Btw, I LOVED Toy Story 3!
We took the kids to Target this weekend to choose their Halloween costumes before they're completely picked over. Gabe selected a GI Joe costume and Sofia is going to be Barbie Thumbelina. I confess I don't even know who Thumbelina is. I only know her costume is pink and purple and has fairy wings, and Sofia selected a long blonde wig to go with it. She's thrilled.
About a week ago, Sofia sat down to the dinner table, held up her index finger and said, "Wait for it. Wait for it." And she let out a loud fart. I was astonished that my princess would do such a thing and at the dinner table no less! I said (through choked-down laughter), "Sofia! WHERE did you learn to do that?" And she said, "From that movie you got us Mom -- you know, Marmaduke." I sheepishly made a mental note to actually pay attention to the movies I rent for the kids while I set about explaining how we pass gas in the bathroom....ahhhh, kids!

HAHAHHAHAHHAAH. The Princess has kick! :) And I love that Gabe hasn't gotten to the part where he says you can't be anything and everything you want to be yet. :)
