Where does the time go?

Last weekend Gabe and I flew to San Antonio for a super-quick visit, really just to make my friend Kelly's wedding. While on the airplane, Gabe announced, "Mom, we're so high in the sky, I can ALMOST see God!" LOL! He is crazy funny.

I had a good visit with my friend Angela and of course got to hang out with Jen and Kelly at the wedding. I just missed Priscilla and my sister Jordan, but got to hang out with Rachel, Greg, and my cute-as-ever and crazy-smart nephews! Naturally got to see my folks, albeit briefly. We missed seeing Uncle Eli, who is apparently going to the Texas state bowling championship as a freshman in high school. Not too shabby E! :) Happy belated birthday, btw! I missed Ryan's and yours now. Good grief. I cannot keep up! Happy belated to both of you!

On the Sofia front -- this morning she said, "I'm going to wear my Crocs, Mom, because Emmitt will LOVE them!" It is the cutest thing ever when I drop her off at daycare in the mornings. I think Emmitt watches for her because the second we walk through the front door, he screams, "It's Sofia! Sofia's here!" and he comes running to give her a hug. This little boy is ADORABLE! Often wearing his favorite red cowboy boots. What a riot!!!

And today when Tim picked her up from daycare, Miss Denise said Sofia kissed Emmitt on the playground. uh-oh! (On the cheek, but still!) Good gracious. When we asked her about it, she insisted that he made her feel better when she fell down and hurt her knee, so she kissed him. How freakin' cute is that?! We asked if she loved Emmitt, and she said yes. We asked if he was her only boyfriend, and she said, "Oh no, I have 3 boyfriends -- Emmitt and Sam and Noah." Well, okay then! LOL! Tim actually asked her, "Do you love Emmitt as much as you love me?" She said, "I do!" So Tim said, "Well, there's no way Emmitt loves you as much as I do." To which Fia said without hesitation, "You have to share me, Dad." Too stinkin' cute!

It was not cute tonight when Fia pitched a big fit because Grandpa didn't want to come back to our house. He has to fly out tomorrow. Dad's in Baltimore for a reptile taxonomy conference or some jazz like that, so we got to see him twice in one week! Pretty cool!

Our kids are growing up entirely too fast! I'll post pix from the San Antonio trip as soon as I upload them.

Tell Gabe to put in a good word with God for some warmer weather down here! We are tired of the cold stuff. It was great to see you- just wish it could have been longer, but I will look forward to a nice visit next month! love you!!

The sun was back out today, so thank you, Gabe! It's good to have a relative with such great connections!
