Funny Kids!

Last night, Gabe showed us all his latest amazing trick. He just figured out how to purposefully flare his nostrils at an alarmingly quick pace. I should really take and then post some video because there is no way I can do justice to how funny this is in writing. So my reaction was, "Oh yeah?! Check out what I can do!" And I promptly tried to teach him how to touch his nose with his tongue. Tim tried to one-up me with, "But can you wiggle your ears?" Hard as I try, this is something I cannot do. I'm not totally convinced Tim does it well either. (No offense hon.) It looks hilarious though! Like he suddenly has a toupee that has come alive and is lurching forward in frantic jerky motions and will at any second fall on all of us! It looks more like he is moving his forehead. Sofia and Gabe were both in stitches. Sofia was trying each new trick, but it translated into her eyebrows jumping up and down and her eyes widening as big as they could get with each try.

Yeah, I will try to get the kids and Tim to pull a repeat performance tonight, so I can capture this on video. I had to laugh really hard when I read an email from my Aunt Jane (Sofia Jane's namesake) talking about how incredibly smart my nephews are. My sister Rachel has two sons, Aden and Abram. Aden is the same age as Sofia and apparently knows his entire alphabet at 2 and his numbers, and goodness knows what else. My first reaction was to send an email with, "Oh yeah....well, MY kids have mastered the art of nostril flaring..." It's a good thing I'm not competitive....LOL! (Really I'm not!) ;)
