Sha-shah -- Sofia's word for "pacifier"
So I have my days where I sing catchy kids' tunes in my head all day long....but I also have days where the voices in my head want to react to my colleagues the same way I react to my kids -- not such good days. Thank goodness I know how to use my filter, on occasion. I find myself staring at grown adults thinking, "Damn, it's too bad I can't stick a pacifier in your mouth!" On other occasions, I want to say, "You seem awfully tired and cranky; I think it must be time for your nap" or "I can't understand you when you use that whiny voice. Please use your words." On rarer occasions, I want to say, "You need a timeout. Go to your room! Now!" and "Let's start over. I'll put the timer on and come back in 5 minutes after you have cooled off." Yeah...it has been one of those weeks at work...and I am truly glad I still have an internal filter that works. Otherwise, I might just say, "Awww, do you need a hug?" at random intervals to really cranky colleagues. Honestly, life is so simple that most of our moods have to do with our own varying levels of sleep and nutrition. That said, I'm going to bed. :)

Todd quickly realized that almost every time I get bitchy with him, I'm hungry. He says he's going to pack a luna bar on all our dates so that when I get cranky he can feed me.
