No more blinking for me...

Is it really possible? I can't believe Gabe will be 7 on Tuesday. I clearly remember being in denial that I was in labor. Seriously. I laid back down in bed and said, "It will be fine. It's just something I ate. I need to rest." Tim was freaking out. "We need to get your stuff together Kristinn." By the time we got to the hospital, I was having contractions every four minutes. I guess now I'm in denial our baby boy is turning 7! :)

Here are some of my favorite pix of my little guy, who I suppose isn't so little anymore. He likes to announce, "Mom, I'm already up to your boobies." LOL! It's true. At age 6, he's only a foot shorter than I am. We're playing laser tag tomorrow for his birthday, and he wants to take fencing in the fall. The same little guy who was fascinated with sewer storm covers and the motor on the back of the moonbounce at age 2...he hasn't changed much. I still look at him and see the way he looked as a baby.

When he was born, I can remember my heart stopping because he didn't make a sound at first. In the movies, babies always come into the world screaming at the top of their lungs. He was completely quiet -- looking around all wide-eyed and curious. He decided to enter the world 10 days before his due date. He has always been a no-nonsense, charge right ahead, little man. :) He also knows just how to surprise me and make me laugh and his sister and dad too -- as you'll see from the pix. Happy 7th birthday Gabe! We love you! xoxo!

I must have commented on this on your facebook page but not on here! Isn't it amazing how fast time flies? It seems like such a short time ago I was up there holding a newborn baby boy- my first grandchild! And now he's the oldest of six (grandchildren) and such a big boy- and so sweet. Give him (and Fia) my love!

When I first looked at your blog title, I thought it said "No more bikini for me!" Wow! I thought I didn't read this one! LOL!

Your pictures of Gab through the years are keepers!
