Holly gave her the cutest fairy princess outfit!Well, today was the BIG day -- Fia's princess ballerina tea party! My Granny and Aunt Patty with the kids' cousins: Abby, Alex, Becca and Billy all came down from New Jersey yesterday and stayed the night. Sofia and Gabe both could not have been more excited! They were constantly in the window, "Are our cousins here yet?" I'm sure they'll be talking about their cousins and Granny and Aunt Patty for weeks to come.
We had a blast! Except for the part where I backed my aunt's minivan into a car behind me. We set out to go sightseeing in DC this morning before the party. I pulled in to park on 14th Street behind a car because it was an easy spot -- no cars behind me. That's when I misunderstood one of several signs next to me and thought I couldn't park there. So I backed up to get back into the right lane of traffic and didn't even see the guy pull in behind us until "BANG!" Oh man, and the worst part is probably that I misunderstood the darn signs. I could've parked there. Shoulda' stayed put! So my nerves were shot the rest of the day, but I did manage to enjoy Sofia's party a little bit. I haven't been in an accident since 1998, so I guess I was due. SORRY again Aunt Patty and Uncle Bill!
But, back to the story at-hand! My princess loved having her ballet teacher at the party. Above are just a few of my favorite pix from the day. As always, I wish I had taken more pix!

It looks like the party was a great success and fun for all! Wish I could have been there--the cake is very pretty! Sorry about the accident--doesn't sound too bad.
I would have loved to have joined you. Sofia is definitely a little princess, and how cool that her cousins got to be there. I'm glad the accident was minor and that everyone is okay. I almost did something similar pulling out of a parking place last night, but I got lucky. Can't wait to see you Friday!
Looks like a fantastic day for Sofia! And no one was hurt in the fender bender, so it's just 2 big hunks of metal, really. :) I'm glad you were able to enjoy the party with the NJ fam - sounds like a great day.
