Cracking Up

One day this week Gabe was peering out the car window and noticed a fairly large crack in the road and announced, "Dad, the world is cracking." Tim & I got a big laugh out of that one. "In more ways than you know, little guy...."

At another point in the car, Tim and I started cracking up about something the DJ said, and Sofia asked from the backseat, "What are you funny at?" I don't know if she meant "What's so funny?" or "What are you laughing at?" But her interpretation of the phrase really sent us into giggling fits. The best is that when we make it out for date night, which we managed to do last night, sometimes we can't help but use the same cute phrases the kids use.

Oh my G-d, another day this week, Gabe was in the bathtub and had a real epiphany. "Mom, check this out...I have one ball on this side and a whole 'nother ball on this side!" I was trying not to laugh though tears were seriously welling up in my eyes from holding in laughter while I said ever-so-smoothly, "Right, Gabe, that's very true -- you have one ball on each side." I was still nodding my head in agreement when he added, "I have GREAT BIG BALLS Mom!" At this point, I was forced to duck my head out of the bathroom to howl with laughter. Tim came practically running into the bathroom with, "Oh yeah?! You think those are big, Gabe?" At which point, I was forced back to a calm state to remind Tim that his daughter did not need to see the demonstration that I was certain was about to ensue.

Seriously, could kids get any funnier? I don't think it's possible.
