Visiting North Carolina this past weekend

The Davidson household is one entertaining bunch! Here, we are being treated to a magic show, courtesy of Jennie, the Magnificent.

Here, Gabe gets to swim on the floor with Ari.
In this shot, Adina and Ari treat Tim to a swing in the park.
Mencken and Adina treat us to an awesome jam session.
Here, Tim and Mencken attempt to make a rocket launch that Tim has had since childhood.

Sofia runs from the rocket launching mission. (*Just kidding!* ) She's actually not scared in this picture, although it kinda looks that way!

Here I am stealing a kiss from my Gabriel.

Thanks for taking such beautiful pictures Adina! Thanks for being such wonderful and hilarious hosts. You two always are. I loved the way Sofia thought Adina's name was "MenckDina" and the way Mencken taught her to say, "Um, Mr. Mencken, Sir." Mencken also thinks it's a good idea to teach kids fictional body part names. Gabe hurt his "potamus," for example.
Ari is the sweetest, quietest, and yet most alert baby. You can tell he wants to be in on the conversation already. The baby is exuding smarts, which is no surprise given his parents' phenomenal IQs. :D
You can tell that MenckDina look at each new situation as a fun challenge. We were out to eat at a restrunk (Gabe and Fia's version of restaurant) when the kids were arguing over a green cupcake vs. a pink cupcake when I wanted them to share one. Mencken suggested they get the blue cupcake, which was fabulous, because although there was no blue cupcake, it reminded me to help them agree to something completely different. Sometimes it's tough to remember to think "outside the box," but man, you constantly have to be creative with kids. :D
